Mew Wedding Stationery featured on the White Thread blog!

Remember a while back when I posted about this nautical theme wedding I was working on for Kevin and Jolie?  I'm delighted to announce that it has been featured on the beautiful White Thread Wedding blog--a really stunning site that features weddings and details for North and South Carolina weddings.

The post features the photos from Kevin and Jolie's talented photographers Anna & Spencer .  You are going to love the details--the couple pulled off a waterfront wedding in such a unique way.  Their centerpieces were simple jars of lemons tied with the striped navy/white ribbon used in the wedding stationery.  There is even a great shot of the custom programs that I designed for them here at Mew.

A Mew Paper Arts wedding featured on The Knot

I admit it.  I google myself on a regular basis.  But it's solely for business purposes, I swear! Sometimes I find something that my auto-alert misses.  I'm glad I did it today because I found out that one of my all-time favorite weddings was featured on The Knot!  This is the second Mew Paper Arts wedding featured in the Real Weddings section of the Knot.  The first was my friends Jason and Liz who got married on Block Island in 2007.


Miyon and Jason had their dream wedding (which incidentally was also my dream wedding) on July 22nd, 2008.  They gathered a very small and intimate group of their nearest and dearest at the Dreams Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  Jonilyn Photography captured the beautiful shots shown here in The Knot feature.


The stationery was done in shades of blush pink, fuschia and gold leaf.  We produced tea-length menus (which Miyon embellished herself with coordinating ribbon), tags for the favors and the paper parasols that Miyon gave to each of her guests, and my favorite--these darling Bride and Groom Chair signs!

Congratulations, Miyon and Jason on celebrating one year of marriage and for being featured in The Knot!

Featured: Modish Biz Tips, Do What You Love series

I definitely do what I love.  And love what I do.  So to be featured on one of my favorite blogs with the purpose of talking a little bit about my work is just the cat's pajamas!  (bonus points to whoever can tell me what the heck the origin of the phrase"the cat's pajamas" is, by the way!)

Jena Coray, (who knows I love those curly locks) the blogging superstar behind Modish posted my interview in the Do What You Love series over on her sister blog Modish Biz Tips.  Go have a read!  For any indie business owner, this blog is a "must" to add to your daily blogreader.  I've gleaned so many valuable tidbits on everything from how to properly submit to bloggers, to the ins and outs of estimated taxes.
